Portrait of CEO Mikkel Brunse

Mikkel elaborates on the culture that will keep us here for many years to come.

“The long-term vision caught my attention”

Meet Mikkel. He has been CEO of Vitec Aloc since 2019 and, in the years since, has helped drive a professional and quality-focused development. With a background in IT and a passion for mathematics and systems thinking, he has worked with technology and leadership for nearly 30 years.

What drew him to Vitec Aloc was especially the long-term approach that characterizes the Vitec Group and which stands in contrast to the private-equity world he came from:

"It was a former colleague who called and said that Vitec was something entirely different - not a fund, but a group that works long-term and builds on stability. That made me curious, and it turned out to be true."

Flat structure - high professionalism

The long-term mindset is reflected in the entire approach to products, customer relationships, and internal collaboration: things aren’t simply shut down because they’re no longer profitable - solutions are found together. This creates not only continuity, but also trust, responsibility, and professional pride.

Mikkel sees Vitec Aloc as a company with high professionalism, flat hierarchies, and a clear culture where transparency and integrity play a central role. He highlights that it is an organization where people say things as they are, and where leadership depends on the professional input of colleagues:

“We are a specialised environment where management cannot know everything. We are deeply dependent on the expertise that exists among our colleagues being put into play.”

Focus on stability in our processes

Under Mikkel’s leadership, Vitec Aloc has continued its journey toward a more structured and quality-driven way of working. He particularly highlights the sustained focus on building solid processes and the establishment of the quality department, which has strengthened both the solutions and the way they are developed. Today, Vitec Aloc stands stronger in the market, especially because the solutions are something the company can stand behind to a much greater extent.

There is now more structure and fewer quick fixes. This not only creates a calmer day-to-day environment, but also increases job satisfaction and the pride in what is delivered to customers.

Resilient for the future

According to Mikkel, one of Vitec Aloc’s greatest strengths is the company’s ability to balance robustness with closeness. It is big enough to provide security, yet small enough to remain manageable.

“We’re not an uncertain startup, but we’re also not so big that we become bureaucratic. We are big enough to be stable - but small enough to be accessible and action-oriented.”

When he looks to the future, his focus is on maintaining precisely that balance while continuing the ongoing development:

Vitec Aloc must maintain its position as the preferred Nordic portfolio system. It’s not about revolution, but about becoming a little better every day, keeping our eyes on the ball and a clear focus on customers’ needs.
